Because I don’t really have anywhere else to put it, my little Christmas tree sits in the corner all year and I put different things on it when the mood strikes me.
(It stays out because I don’t have a lot of storage space at my place and frankly, I think it’s pretty.)
In the upper right, is a beetle bug ornament I found in Florida when I visited Momma and my grandmother in December. It was at this cute little place that we had lunch at and poked around for a couple of hours.
The other ornament you see is Dorothy’s Ruby Red slipper from Wizard of Oz.
Wizard of Oz is my favorite childhood movie. They’re my favorite shoe.
Those red shoes have been part of my life forever…I love that a family friend saw this and thought of me. It’s perfect for my all year tree.

W OF OZ is a favorite of mine too. I went to see it with my aunt and cousin, two years older than I am. She got scared when the witch first appeared and my Aunt took us home and told everyone I was scared so we had to leave. I was mad at my cousin and Aunt for a long time I never fail to watch the movie when it is one. My favorite too.
My Mother always pretended to be the wicked witch after that messed up chance to see the movie. I would pretend to pout a bucket of water on her and she would melt. We still call her the wicked witch of the West!
